At Finca de los Arandinos, we know how important it is to promote sustainable tourism that has the least possible impact on our environment. And, for this reason, since we began our journey, we have been concerned with implementing this type of practice in our day to day, both in the hotel and in the winery and vineyard.
Here are some of the practices we are carrying out:
1. SUSTAINABLE METHODS OF ENERGY GENERATION
We have Cogeneration Units, which from the combustion of gas, produce heat and the excess heat energy is transformed into electricity that reverts to our network.
2. ECOLOGICAL CLEANING PRODUCTS
All our cleaning and reception products in the rooms are ecological and biodegradable.
3. RECYCLING TECHNIQUES IN HOTEL AND RESTAURANT
We recycle, classifying according to whether they are organic, containers or glass, and a certified company removes used cooking oil from us.
4. WASTEWATER TREATMENT
Once a year, kitchen caskets and wastewater tanks are collected, cleaned and treated by a certified company.
5. LOCAL PRODUCTS AND KM0
We buy km.0 products from more than 30 local producers, to prepare our menus in the Restaurant.
6. ACTIVITIES IN NATURE
We promote outdoor activities that do not have the least possible impact on the environment: Hiking, horseback riding through vineyards, MTB routes, hot air balloon rides.
7. ARCHITECTURE BASED ON SUSTAINABILITY
We are a sustainable building: Our large windows facing south allow natural air conditioning inside the Hotel, as well as savings in electricity.
8. ENERGY AND LIGHT SAVING MEASURES IN THE HOTEL
All the lighting in the Hotel is led and in corridors, WC and common areas work with motion sensors, so that the lights turn on only when necessary.
9. WE BELONG TO ALTURA: SUSTAINABLE TOURISM ASSOCIATION
We belong to the ALTURA Association, which is a local sustainable tourism association, related to caring for the environment and with more than 100 local producer partners.
ECOLOGICAL VINEYARD CERTIFIED BY CPAER
As for the vineyard, which is within the Estate, it is certified organic by the CPAER (Council for Ecological Agricultural Production). This means that the products we use to treat the vines are natural products without chemical components. Therefore, our El Conjuro wine is certified as organic wine”.
